It’s difficult to motivate high schoolers to be active. In order to motivate them, we offer girl’s volleyball. The girls learn team building and social skills by being part of a team. They often have to compromise and work through difficult situations together. Some students tend to walk away from challenging issues or situations. Instead, our student-athletes are often forced to work through and learn from difficult situations. Many of our athletes at school take public transportation home late at night. This deters many from being involved in activities. Our team is often short on all equipment and new volleyballs and knee pads will brighten their spirits. Any new equipment gets our girls excited to play and be more involved.
