Data collection is a vital part of effective teaching in a special education classroom. Data collection allows us to track progress, inform teaching and curriculum choices, and update parents. These tablets will allow my paraprofessionals to collect data digitally, saving time, and simplifying the process. As an added bonus, we can also download a communication app so we can communicate better with non-verbal students. With this investment, each paraprofessional can have an assigned tablet they can keep with them throughout the day, keeping data collection, communication, and other resources at their fingertips.
