Who doesn’t want to curl up in a comfy spot with a good book? My students love to read around the room. They are always asking, “Can we read on the carpet?” Anything is more appealing than reading at the same desk they’ve been sitting at all day long. These colorful floor seats will provide them with a fun, new spot to read comfortably during independent reading time without arguing about who will get the one pillow or special chair we currently have in our classroom. I believe these new seats will get my students even more excited about reading time, and will have them asking, “Can we keep reading?” after the timer goes off. The more they read, the more they grow. Developing a love for reading is one of the best things I can encourage them to do!
