I am a beginning teacher, with a very traditional classroom. I would love to make it more welcoming, comfortable, and fun for my fourth grade students! I chose to include bean bag chairs, floor pillows, stability discs, balance balls, and donut balls to begin implementing flexible seating in my classroom. Flexible seating will allow students to sit during lessons, but still use energy. It will help them stay focused and absorb more information in the classroom. I have also chosen board games for my students to help add variety to recess activities, as well a one of my favorite books to use as a classroom read-aloud. By providing flexible seating I hope to help create a love for learning in these students. It is important to me for these students to see learning as fun and not just an uncomfortable experience.
