I am so excited to begin my flexible seating journey with my 2018-2019 class! I have chosen flexible seating options that I know will benefit my students. For example, we know that some students need more movement in their day than others! I love that by using a wobble chair, these students can have that movement whenever they need it and still continue to be engaged during the school day. Some students may concentrate better when they are sitting at a regular seat but just simply need a small amount of movement. The fidget bands can be placed on their chairs, so they are able to move their feet whenever they need that extra movement. Where do you like to sit when reading a good book? Where do you sit when doing work on a computer? Imagine yourself sitting with colleagues having an important discussion. Our children are doing many of these same types of tasks each day in the classroom. With your support, I can give my students a classroom with more flexibility that supports a diverse group of learners.
