The history of planet Earth can be difficult to grasp without using or developing models of their own. As my students learn about Earth’s Systems: Processes that Shape the Earth, students will be expected to demonstrate their understanding by creating diagrams, drawings, physical replicas or a diorama that represent concrete events. Building background knowledge is the springboard to engaging students in the process of learning about complex topics. With your support, students will have the opportunity to use the following hands-on kits during the study of Earth's Systems: *Building a Volcano * Aftershock Earthquake Lab Set *Modeling Stream Erosion And Deposition * Miniature Scale Model Grass, Trees and Shrubs Students keep notes of what they learn in their interactive notebooks (composition Notebooks).
