Our school is small and diverse. Many of the students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school is a Title I school. About 75% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Many of our students have parents who are field workers; Salinas grows a lot of produce. I am grateful to work in such a wonderful community of supportive families and children who are eager to learn each day. I teach third grade and hope to inspire children to love learning through valuable experiences involving the arts and sciences whenever possible!
