My students will be learning about Earth's cycles, including the water cycle, carbon cycle, rock cycle, nitrogen cycle, and phosphorus cycle. This donation would provide the students with hands-on learning opportunities, like using manipulatives to map out the cycles, sidewalk chalk to create illustrations of each cycle while presenting them to the class during outdoor learning sessions, and rock specimens and scales to investigate natural transformations, record data, and develop questions. By personalizing the learning experiences of my students using visuals, manipulatives, leveled texts, and natural specimens, my students will develop a better understanding of Earth's cycles through engagement and exploration. Students would be able to conduct research using these donated books of various reading levels and then design informational posters using markers and colored pencils. A laminator would prolong the life of the cycles card sorts, vocabulary manipulatives, graphic organizers, and flashcards that I will be making for the students. Students would be able to store the supplies in drawers and baskets, making it easy for them to maintain good organizational practices.
