The Amazon Fire 7 tablets will allow my students to listen to multiple stories during their listening center time easily. The Fire 7 tablets will allow me to quickly create QR codes for almost any book that is already in our library. Students will be able to select a book, scan the QR code, and listen to the story while at the listening center and even while they are at Buddy reading (reading with a partner). The Fire 7 Tablets will allow for a smooth experience at the Listening Center, will open up the possibility of many stories, and increase student engagement, because they can select from a wide variety of books. The listening center is an essential part of our literacy block because it helps students develop fluency skills and comprehension skills.
