Indianapolis Lighthouse is located on the far south side of Indianapolis. This is a second grade classroom for the 2018-2019 school year. Our scholars here are very eager to learn and always pushing themselves to reach the highest expectations. Ninety percent of our scholars at Lighthouse are on free/reduced lunches and overcome daily obstacles within and outside the classroom. They truly thrive with hands on activities/lessons. This is a math classroom so the more manipulatives the better! We focus heavily on small group work, giving much needed one on one time for students, along with giving others the responsibility of leadership in the classroom. They are excellent with working in small groups with many leaders in the classroom along with showing team work, compassion, and always being a helpful friend.
