Because students learn through so much more than reading and writing, I am planning on using interactive notebooks in reading, math, grammar, and spelling. The materials I am looking for will supply each student with what they need to be successful and participate completely in their own learning. They will feel a sense of pride in their own work and boost their confidence to take on more projects. I firmly believe that with this extra learning strategy, my students will increase their learning, participate more, and remember easier the strategies that are taught. These notebooks will be done in small groups during our literacy block.
