My students are from a very low-income area of northern California. Many of my students are from homes where English is a second language. Many are also from a home where they do not have their own room, or their own space to keep their school work and supplies. I cannot count the number of times a student has told me, "Ms. W, I started that paper, but my little brother ripped it up...." or "I lost it..." This is an organization piece that can help my students now, and in the future. It will provide them a safe, reliable place to keep their student produced writing.
