My students love to be hands on and creative. I love to give my students opportunities to create and use their imaginations. STEM is so important in schools and I feel Kindergarten is the perfect place to start! These activities will not only build self confidence for my students, they will also encourage teamwork, collaboration and make for classroom discussion that cannot be sparked with worksheets alone. Solving problems, mastering challenges, and fostering a love for STEM is just the beginning with STEM bins in Kindergarten. I truly cannot wait to see what my students can create when given the opportunity to freely create using materials such as building blocks, craft sticks with velcro, straws, foam balls and toothpicks, dominoes and more. These materials, along with materials I already have in my room will create the perfect STEM bins for my students.
