The use of iPads and iPad protective cases in my classroom will offer additional benefits for academic success by encouraging the love of reading. Students will have exposure to reading in all different types of ways. iPads secured in solid cases can offer an additional type of engagement for all students in literacy in all academic areas. Students can use the iPads with convenient cases that have stands to offer hands-on learning in reading, writing, social studies, science and math. The use of the iPad cases will ensure the iPads will last for many learners throughout the years. Technology offers the opportunity to expand and transform students experience into an engaging and exciting resource for learning. The iPads and protective covers will offer opportunities to differentiate instruction within my classroom. The iPads and covers can be used in a variety of ways to support instruction. If my project is funded my students will have the opportunity to: -Have access to a variety of reading genre to read and hear which supports reading fluency. -Practice foundational reading skills such as phonics, phonemic awareness, rhyming and sight words. -Utilize iPads in reading and math learning centers which gives students an opportunity to practice independence in an engaging way. -Keep track of their progress and be able to share their success. -Listen and read math story problems. -Research and record information from other areas of academics such as, social Studies and science, -Practice identifying and writing letters and words. If iPads and protective iPad cases are donated to my class, the students will have access to a fun and innovative way to maximize their learning in all academic areas. iPads are an excellent way to supplement learning and give students access to technology and innovation that they may not otherwise have access to.
