After student teaching in this school, I realized that students often came to class unprepared and lacking the basic tools needed to focus on their studies. The notebooks, calculators, pens and pencils will be distributed to these students. These are the materials that are required in the class syllabus. The subscriptions to Science World will be an additional source that students can reference for class projects. A prepared student is a student who can focus on learning the content. The remainder of the material is to organize the classroom and provide feedback to students. The file crates allow a space for students to turn in class notebooks as well as a place to organize student work. The manila and hanging folders will be used along with the crates to ensure a place to turn in work and return it to students. The dry erase markers and calendar provides a visual for the class schedule and assignments. Sticky notes allows for immediate feedback to be given to students along with the grading stamps and ink. This is my first time this particular classroom so the material will help ensure that my students have an organized space.
