The essential healthy snacks (granola bars and juice) will help the children obtain the vitamins and minerals they need in order to be successful in school. It is hard for the students to concentrate when their stomachs are empty. They need the nutrients in order for them to focus on academics. Healthy snacks will help the students come to school prepared to learn and gain knowledge. The personal care product, body spray, is essential. This will work directly with providing our students access to items that will increase their social, emotional and personal health while also raising their psyche. It is our job as educators to provide access to these items that our students do not have the ability to get. It is a big challenge for educators to help their students learn when their students say that they are hungry. If the students are lacking food, they will not be willing or able to learn. They need the snacks.
