I teach a variety of learners, some typically developing and some who have special needs all in one room during one class period. Because I have a variety of learners who all have different needs I have adapted a flexible seating plan so my students can learn how they want. Whether they want to sit on the floor with a pillow, in a traditional desk with a desk-er-ciser, or on a wobble chair it doesn't matter as long as they area learning and comfortable. Flexible seating also allows my students to take ownership in their learning and teaches them to be self aware. I have put a variety of flexible seating options on our list to add to our classroom.
