Everyday my scholars have to sit in the same desk and try their best to stay focused and learn on a high level. This style of seating in my classroom will allow my scholars to have choice on where it is best for them to learn on a high level. We are in need of a variety of seating options that will allow them to thrive within the classroom each day. By giving my scholars voice and choice, it will allow them to feel like a valued and respected member of our classroom community. The futon sofa will be the main source of flexible seating because it will be located in our gathering space. The lap desks allows my students to work on the floor in a comfortable space. The balance balls allow my students to be able to sit up correctly and stay on task. The bar stools helps for my students who needs elevation with their desk. All of these options will help them grow and thrive. Flexible seating will allow them to better work on assignments, work collaboratively, and reflect at the end of the day.
