As a first year teacher, my classroom is still lacking some of the basic teaching tools needed to help my students be successful. Having an anchor chart stand in my whole group area will give my students the opportunity to participate in their learning. The ability to participate in making our anchor charts using the chart paper, will make the lessons more engaging and students will have an easier time connecting to the content. My current method is to make the anchor chart ahead of time or lay the anchor chart on a table while we create it. This does not allow the student to see what I am writing or be as active in their learning as they can be. The anchor chart stand will be a game changer for my classroom.
