Our school has recently implemented 1:1 Chromebooks from 1st to 5th grade. Part of getting my kindergarten students ready for the next grade is to ensure that they are not only prepared for 1st grade academically but socially and technologically, as well. Having Chromebooks in the classroom will guarantee that my students will have hands-on experience in navigating online resources and other educational multimedia materials independently or in collaboration with other students. Setting up a technology center with Chromebooks will definitely add to my students' excitement in learning kindergarten skills! It will also help them become more competent when they get to 1st grade.
