Studies have shown that when students have more choices they are more likely to succeed in the classroom. Flexible seating in my classroom not only will allow my students to make choices in their education, but also create a classroom environment that will encourage learning. Options are what I want my students to have. When my students come into my class I want them to feel like it is a second home for them. I feel that a flexible seating classroom opens up the classroom and helps build a community for the students to thrive in. I am requesting a sofa, high table, inflatable chair, and balance ball seats. I have reached out to teachers of flexible seating and have heard positive feedback from all, most stating that it built a stronger classroom atmosphere.
