I'm looking for some help with flexible seating arrangements. Flexible seating is a newer idea that offers students some choices for seating as they work and learn in the classroom. This is important for all learners - IEP or not. Some kids want a traditional seat, some want to be able to sit on a floor cushion; some students want a wobble chair and others would like a bucket seat. Your contribution will help me empower students so they can focus on the lesson, not think about how comfortable (or uncomfortable) they are. In my inclusion classroom of about 25 students, I will serve typical students as well as students with more diverse learning needs. But all children benefit from the ability to choose what feels best when they're learning. Teachers have found that students are noticeably more engaged in tasks and less disruptive of peers when they are given a choice of where to work. The products I selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools are adjustable and will allow students to move without disrupting peers. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. The comfy floor seats and cushions will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. And the exercise ball seats help engage core muscles and allow for appropriate movement while working. Thank you for helping me achieve great things with some fabulous third graders!
