This year we will have a therapy suite where two speech-language pathologists, occupational therapist and a physical therapist will be providing services to our students. Since we will not have separate spaces to work, we will need to create a space which can be separated in order to provide some privacy for our students. While therapy aims to be fun and entertaining for students as we strive to meet their goals, for many students it can be less exciting to accept the support they may need. Offering them a space which is not out in the open is essential to establishing a positive relationship with our students. In the past, students have had to deal with limited space and furniture, unpredictable therapy settings, and distracting environments. Our goal is to limit these distractions and time wasted searching for a space to work so that we can make more effective progress toward our students' goals!
