Many of my students only access to literature is in my classroom, because of this I want to make sure the experiences they have with literature is worthwhile. I chose a number of books that I feel my students will learn and grow from after reading. I have chosen these books, both fiction and nonfiction, to allow my students to hear stories of all types, to experience the world, all the good and bad that comes with it, though books they can read with their peers. This will allow them to discuss all the excitement and sadness with their friends and grow as readers as they do so.
