I will use this carpet as a space for my fifth graders to build a community within our classroom. As fifth grade leaders, we learn to be independent learners, thinkers, and friends. This "Be a Good Friend" rug would be a great reminder of the qualities these kinds of leaders possess. I would like this carpet to be a space where we gather as a whole, for activities such as morning meetings and large group work. But, I would also like this space to transform into a comfortable area for independent or partner work as well. By utilizing this space in a variety of ways, the learning environment can be adjusted to fit the needs of each of my students. This carpet would be GREATLY loved in my classroom, and I can't think of any other people that deserve this awesome space more than these fifth grade leaders. Thank YOU for making this space available to them.

About my class
