Welcome to my third-grade classroom ! I teach at Galena Elementary School on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Our district is one of the smallest districts in Maryland. Our school is a Title One school with a high percentage of ESOL and low-income students. My students come to school each day excited to learn and explore. In my classroom, I embrace this enthusiasm by allowing students the opportunity to choose flexible seating, such as wobble stools and buckets. I also strive to engage my students in every lesson by giving them options for participating in the lesson. Some of the engagement options I currently use are dry erase boards, small portable tables and standing desks. This project will give students another option for lesson engagement.
