The use of laptops in a high school classroom can change the entire trajectory of learning for many students. Many of my students struggle to get engaged or stay focused when the group is larger than around 4 students. With Chromebooks readily available, I can create a Center that acts as an incentive to optimize learning for kids. With a laptops available, I can provide a well-curated list of activities that can help reinforce skills in reading, writing, listening, and even speaking! Having classroom laptops also helps the kids feel a sense of ownership over their learning, and pushes them to act with a greater level of maturity.
