This rug will allow my students to sit together comfortably as a community for various learning and sharing experiences. Although many schools provide classroom rugs to teachers, they are quite expensive and my new Title I school does not include rugs with their classroom furniture even though the floor is all laminate. Circle time is a crucial part of the learning experience for young children and I would love to be able to do that in a designated communal spot that is comfortable, inviting, and large enough for all students and educators to sit together comfortably. Adding this rug to my classroom will also help create more open seating space for my students during independent and group work time.
