Story time is a vital part of learning. Having an area that accommodates all the students makes this time even more productive and enjoyable. Students can be assigned to a particular letter on the Magic Carpet and this makes assembling for group activities more organized and saves valuable time. An alphabet rug/Magic Carpet can also be used for academic centers and games. First grade is a special time of learning words and manipulation of letters and words for writing. The Magic Carpet can be a wonderful part of our journey toward 2nd grade and on to a wonderful world of learning and exploration in the future!
