The Storyworks magazine will be used as a supplemental resource and main tool to my reading instruction. Regularly, I use this particular resource in my guided reading groups as it provides leveled options which cater to all readers' levels and needs. Students are highly engaged and easily captivated by the relevant and entertaining stories and writing prompts in Storyworks. It effortlessly invites students to dip deeper into history, science, cultures, etc. as they learn about people, places, and facts. In doing so, students learn skills and master standards with confidence and excitement. My lessons that involve Storyworks easily are turned into Project Based activities that require students to delve into the world STEAM, as well as, crossing into the content and curriculum of other subject areas. Storyworks is almost always the driving force of these particular lessons as it provides quality stories, practice, and assessments that easily fit into my PBL's.
