The Breakout EDU kit will allow my students to experience a hands-on interactive experience. The challenges will provide opportunities to use the kit at the beginning of the year as a classroom community building activity. They will use reading, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills to solve clues that will lead to the opening of the lockbox. Throughout the school year, the Breakout EDU kit will be used to reinforce these 21st century skills and also will provide an engaging activity to review academic content. The access to the online system will provide both paper or digital based activities. These activities give the students opportunities that can be used all school year to increase engagement, encourage collaboration among students, and to review content to increase the retention of information.
