The love of reading is slowly disappearing within our children. They want to sit in front of the computer or their phone playing games or watching YouTube channels. I want to build the love of reading by beginning a class book club. With this book club, we will read a text together as a class. Reading for enjoyment. We will be able to have discussions about the book then watch the film related to the story and compare and contrast the differences. Within this project is also a guided reading kit. Along with reading for enjoyment my students also need material to help me dig deep into their reading needs. With these two items, I can begin bringing the love of reading back to my students along with helping them become stronger readers!
