Our students need to learn in modern ways! Using the flipped learning model, my students can learn about content at home and then come to school to go deeper, ask questions, get remediation, etc. How does this work? Students watch videos or participate in learning on devices at home (or on their own in the class). They need devices in order to do that! Make their learning relevant and modern, incorporating the use of 21st century skills! They need to learn how to collaborate, critically think, and create! Using the MP4 players, I can load video or audio lessons and activities for the students to participate in outside of school. These will be useful for those who have no internet access at home, which is a majority of the students I teach. Using the Chromebooks, they can participate in interactive lessons that are web-based, as well as creating digital pieces that demonstrate their learning. This would also enable them to collaborate with a partner or group of classmates on a bigger or more in-depth project. They will utilize these in class, while I work with small groups of students who need extra support!
