Students need choices in their seating and opportunities to verbalize their learning in the 21st-century classroom. Through the use of desk risers and desk bicycles, students will be able to be physically active during instructional time in the classroom. By standing at a raised desk or pedaling at a seat. Students can remain on task for a period of time allowing them to stay focused and maintain an effective learning environment for themselves and others. Students will engage in activities that require the use of audio and video recording. To ensure sound quality chatterboxes will be created in already installed cubbies to provide students with a soundproof environment within the classroom to complete these tasks. Lastly, floor tables will provide seating opportunities on the floor during group and independent work time. I have taught for 14 years and have seen an increasing need to provide students with seating choices and opportunities to vocalize their understanding of learning. These materials will allow my students those opportunities. Thank you.
