Eight third grade students are eagerly waiting to share a classroom with me. I want it to be an environment where my students get excited about learning, especially reading. In the past, the room was used exclusively as a math classroom. This means it had lots of tables and chairs, lots of computers, lots of..well, wires, and that was pretty much it! Creating an environment where my students can become confident learners is vital. To accomplish this goal, I need your help! By donating two Wood Design shelving units, you will not only be providing space for our books, but will help to make our classroom library welcoming, a place where students can become engrossed in a book and enjoy teacher read alouds, a place where they might choose to work quietly on anything and everything...a place we can all look forward to being in! Reading is such a fundamental part of life, a skill that we cannot do without in this day and age. Our K-6 school is very small in a rural part of New Hampshire. Last year's enrollment was around sixty-six students. We are a needy school; resources are limited, and many of our students are eligible for free and/or reduced lunches. Ensuring that our students learn to read and, even more so, learn to LOVE to read, is our goal. Your donation can help them to achieve this!
