Flexible seating is valuable because it gives students a choice in their learning. During independent work times, students will choose a location in the classroom that works for them. My plan is to have several seating options available. Making sure students are comfortable will ultimately increase their engagement. When students are engaged, naturally, more learning will take place. Having a choice in their learning builds confidence and community. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The exercise balls with stands and Wobble Seats will allow for some movement. These will benefit those students that just need to get the wiggles out. The wobble cushions will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. I am excited to see the impact flexible seating has in my classroom.
