A reality for most of my students is that they struggle in many areas because of the impact of not being able to read well. Having "ECR4Kids The Surf Colorful Portable Lap Desk" would allow my students some freedom to spread out to read, think, and respond with a bit of privacy around the room. It would also allow me to move about the room to confer with each individual student and support their personal reading goals. Ultimately, my hope is they will develop a life-long love for reading! Students' self-concepts and the value they place on reading are critical to their success (Gambrell, Palmer, Coddling, and Mazzoni, 1996) My goal is to help each of my students to become self confident, motivated readers that are successful in school as well as in their future careers! I appreciate all your assistance in helping me make my classroom a more welcoming and motivating environment for my students!
