The past two years I have incorporated flexible seating into my classroom. Students are able to choose a seat or space "smart seat" where they feel they can do their best work. I allow students to pick their seats when working independently as well as in collaborative groups. Students in the past have loved the ability to work in a seat that suits them. Over the last two years I have noticed how flexible seating has transformed my classroom. Students are more engaged when they are learning in an environment that works best for them. The items I have selected will give students additional seating options and provide an effective learning environment. The wobble stools and stability balls are great options for students that need a little movement while sitting. The lap desk are another option for students that like to work on the floor. Students are more successful when they have multiple options that suit their needs in the classroom.
