Flexible seating options give my sixth grade students the option to choose where they learn best. They are not limited to sitting at tables the entire time we are in the classroom. My students have the freedom to move around the room and work in an area that best suits their needs, whether it is on the floor and working with a clip board, at a small group table with their peers, or even laying under a table while reading a book. My students are more engaged in their learning when they have a choice of where to sit and learn. The Kore Wobble Chairs and exercise balls with stability rings will help there to be less distractions in the classroom because the students are more comfortable and focused on their own learning rather than on what their peers are doing. The Wobble Chairs and exercise balls are flexible and allow for students to move and get their wiggles out while they work, and can be used in place of traditional chairs at their tables or placed around the room to work collaboratively or independently throughout class. My students work collaboratively every day and flexible seating options will allow them to form different work areas around the room. By giving my students flexible seating options they will discover new ways to help them focus in the classroom and grow as learners.
