In my class next year, I would love for my students to be able to sit in various ways around the classroom in ways that will help them be successful and have fun while learning! Being able to work in various areas of the room cater to different learning styles and needs. By having flexible seating, my first grade students will be able to move around the classroom and enjoy learning in all areas of the classroom. The bean bags will work well for my classroom library, allowing students to get comfortable and cozy up with a good book! Lap desks will be used for small groups, partner work, and individual work around the classroom.
