Students love technology. They also love to work in math centers independently because they feel more comfortable in a small group setting. Working alone, with a buddy, or in a small group allows students to feel safe, to take risks, and to try even when they are struggling. Having more math center activities in the classroom will greatly impact their learning and independence! Math centers are a a fun and excellent way for learners to practice skills and to help guide them towards proficient and advanced levels. These materials will be used to give students additional and fun practice that will help move them to higher levels of understanding. Practice makes perfect and this additional practice will be a valuable use of center time in the classroom. Students will be given time to continue to build their skills and will be given immediate feedback through the Hot Dots technology.
