Many of the Computer Science lessons are individualized, self-paced lessons that utilize audio and video to communicate the information. The students watch the instruction on their screens while listening on their headphones. As their teacher, I have the ability to monitor each student's computer activities from my computer, and I can interact with a single student through his or her headphones without distracting the other students. The headphones my school uses are not very durable, so the majority of them do not last through the year. Consequently, the students are left to use their own earbuds or go without any kind of listening device. With this purchase of more durable headphones, the students in my classes will have more than adequate listening devices throughout the year.
