If my project is fully funded I will be able to provide my students with an environment they can not only enjoy, but feel comfortable, confident, and safe in. Last year, we had regular chairs, stools, and carpet squares as options for seats. We would take brain breaks and move around, but I feel that these new options would limit the brain breaks due to them being to move as they please at their seats while working at the same time. I believe movement is a huge learning factor and having differentiated seating arrangements can positively impact my students. The wobbly stools are great for students that are constantly wanting to rock back and forth or move, the bands go on chairs for those who like swinging their legs, and the bouncy balls for those that enjoy the extra bounce.
