Students need structure, but they also need to feel like they have some say so. This project would allow my students the opportunity to have flexible seating choices that make them feel comfortable and at ease. I believe students learn more when they are comfortable and like the environment, they are in. Giving different heights of tables, such as the pub table, will allow them the opportunity to sit at tables they might have at home, that give more comfort when they are working. Also, having lower than the normal height table allows students to sit at stools. Giving seat cushions to sit on instead of the hard floor allows for students to have more hands-on activities while not letting students feel uncomfortable.
