Most of my students are taking an art class for the first time. This is the first year that art is being offered at the small charter school they attend (grades 7-12). Their confidence is low and many of them tell me "I'm bad at art" or "I can't do it". My students have no idea how creative or talented they are because for the most part, they have never had an opportunity to show it!
