In Kindergarten and First grade students love using their hands to create. By using "Legos" my young students will be able to not only categorize by color and size, but build and design individual creations. Using these manipulatives will not only challenge the students' academic minds but will also assist with socialization and classroom management. Students may work with others or individually to promote cooperation, taking turns, and problem solving. The Lego Table will be an excellent resource where students can go at recess, center time, and when they finish an assignment early. It will make a wonderful asset to our classroom.
