At a school that has a minimum amount of electronics available for students to enhance their learning, it truly breaks my heart. There are countless apps and websites in which students can further their understanding of curriculum and practice skills. As an on-grade level and inclusion teacher, I must break up my students based on their individual needs. Some of them need more instruction and scaffolding, while others hit the ground running with any topic given to them. I will be using my tablets in multiple ways. One day we may have a group of five students, on the tablets, working on Desmos practicing a current skill while the rest of the students are being taught an extra mini lesson to ensure understanding. Another day, we may be doing a class activity with devices. Some of my students do not have the funds at home to be able to have a device of their own, so these tablets will be stand-ins so that those students still have the opportunity to participate in these activities.
