I have been trying to design the perfect classroom library since I began teaching. I want to create an inviting library for my students that will help them find a love for reading. I want students to see books and want to read them. Technology is just as important as textbook learning. Students need to have success in all areas of the classroom. My students use headphones for all Chromebook use. The headphones provided to me don't last. Students go through multiple pairs of headphones in a year for one reason or another. I have found it becomes distracting when students have to stop and go to the library to get another pair of headphones to be able to continue working on their assignments. I have been using magazine holders for students to store their books in, and while they held up for the year, I want something more durable that will last through the school year without being duct-taped. Student book bins and bookshelves to store them in will also add a colorful pop to the classroom.
