The materials I am requesting will help replenish some of the items that were damaged in my classroom during Hurricane Harvey. We lost items which we will need such as bulletin boards and classroom labels that were water damaged and could not be salvaged. I also found some new flannel board story retelling and games that my students would benefit from during station time that will meet their various learning needs. I would like to have a class pet (aka Pete the Cat) that will travel home with our "Student of the Week." The student will take home Pete along with some of his favorite books to read with mom and dad. The students will work with their parents to write a short story at the end of the week about Pete's adventures at their home. It is one way to help us get to know each other better and make connections with our friends.
