These materials will help me begin to build a leveled library for my 4th grade students. They need to have reading materials that are authentic and meaningful to them that are on their reading level. My classroom has many students that read at varying levels of difficulty. Research has shown that students improve their reading abilities best by spending time reading texts on their level that interest them. I want to provide my students what they need to become confident, independent, life long readers. I have chosen a beginning set of Leveled books from Lakeshore that comes in labeled bins. These will be new books that will be a foundation for our leveled library.
